An evolution of the Dainese Smart Jacket, Smart Air is the innovative airbag system designed to be worn over or under any outfit. The minimalist design makes it lightweight and ergonomic , ensuring freedom of movement and comfort in every riding situation.
Protection is provided by the Level 2-certified D-air® airbag system on the chest and back, which ensures high standards of safety whilst offering a natural fit and extraordinary lightness. Versatility is further enhanced with the OFFROAD mode , developed for adventure riding and technical off-road routes , including those with strong vibrations, natural obstacles and rough terrain.
The EV Mode function allows the system to remain armed at all times, even on electric or low vibration bikes and scooters , further extending the versatility of use. The advanced technological features also boast a new electronic management system, which optimizes battery life for up to 18 hours , as well as introducing new LED sequences for even faster system status readings .
The user experience is further enhanced by the new Dainese D-air® app interface , which is now even more intuitive and seamless, enabling the user to manage usage modes, device status, and software updates.
The system is designed to support up to three airbag deployments : After each intervention, the gas generator can be easily replaced independently , ensuring a simple, rapid and independent reset of the system. Smart Air represents Dainese’s most advanced protection: intelligent, versatile, and designed to suit every riding style, both on-road and off-road.
